Thanks to the experimental and bold approach that has always distinguished us, at Refin, we have once again brought innovative ceramic proposals and distinctive design solutions for the world of architecture to Cersaie this year.
In an exhibition designed to welcome visitors on a sensory journey, we showcased many new collections, the result of different research paths: from the inspirations of the mineral world and the woody essences of the ETHEREA and EIK collections, to industrial and urban inspirations interpreted with contemporaneity in GRAYN, and to the two most important projects: the iconic UPSIDE proposal, a reinterpretation of the Beside collection designed by Massimiliano Adami in 2011, and RELIEFS, an interesting 3D wall coverings project.
UPSIDE
With Upside, our workshop has reworked Massimiliano Adami’s original project in a new light, interpreting the authorship of the original idea into a range of surfaces made possible by new production technologies. The distinctive features compared to the original project are represented by the continuous grid proposed on a larger format and the updated color palette, making Upside a collection that surprises with its great aesthetic and visual power.
GRAYN
A touch of urban chic for a collection with a contemporary flavor: the minimal aesthetics and industrial character of concrete soften to form Grayn, which enhances the qualities of the material to meet manifold styles.
The graphics are characterized by subtle shades and alternate uniform areas with others moved by small granularities and light ripples, thus generating an overall homogeneous effect rich in distinctive details that give depth to the surface.”
EIK
Majesty and authenticity blend in this collection that captures the rich texture and natural hues of oak wood, unleashing all the beauty of the material. The delicate and irregular veins evoke the authenticity of wood and give an elegant aesthetic to the surface. The light and uniform graphics, with a homogeneous chromatic appearance, convey a particularly modern and sophisticated effect. A collection with an essential character that discreetly fits into prestigious environments.
ETHEREA
We have reworked the most precious stones to give life to a collection with timeless charm: Etherea synthesizes the most distinctive qualities of different stone materials in a light and uniform graphic. Gentle veining and subtle fossil traces rest on a compact background, maintaining a homogeneous appearance without chromatic contrasts. With Etherea, the purity of the mineral world harmoniously enters spaces and suggests refined atmospheres, conveying sensations of minimalist and discreet elegance.
RELIEFS
Reliefs is our new project of 3D porcelain stoneware cladding capable of giving surfaces a special three- dimensional effect and generating unexpected tactile sensations and aesthetic perceptions. With 6 different structures – Tweed, Stripe, Canné, Hammered, Doric, and Ribbed – presented both on new collections and as an extension of existing ranges, Reliefs represents a design tool that offers endless possibilities for customizing claddings and allows a creative approach to space composition.
